I decided to take the Old McKenzie Hwy 242 to 126 to get a couple days of riding in. the fire last year decimated the area on the Sister's side, once you got over the top past the volcanic rock it started to look like a rain forest again. The riding was awesome, I did loops back to my truck over paying for shuttles. I camped along Deer Creek Road both nights, it has great river access to clean the sweat away from a days riding. I left and headed towards Sister's stopping by Camp Sherman along the way. I advise if you stop in the store get a bacon cheeseburger, it's the best burger I've ever had! I'm in Creekside Campground now,(7/9) I needed a real shower.
